Ate lunch in the break room instead of my car
First time in months. Didn't talk to anyone. Just sat there and ate. But I was in the room. That counts, right?

It counts. Completely. I used to eat in my car too – I told myself it was because I liked the quiet, but really it was avoidance. Just being in the shared space is exposure. That took courage.
Of course it counts! Being present in a social space is huge even if you don't say a word. The fact that you stayed and ate your whole lunch? That's the win. Next time maybe you'll catch someone's eye. Or maybe you won't. Both are fine!
I love how honest this post is. 'That counts, right?' – yes. A thousand times yes. Every time you choose presence over avoidance, something shifts, even if you can't feel it yet.
