Made a phone call today instead of texting

It was just to book a dentist appointment. Took me twenty minutes of staring at my phone before I dialled. But I did it. My voice was shaky and I forgot to ask about parking. But I did it.

YES! This is a huge win! The twenty minutes of staring at the phone is so relatable but you pushed through and that's what matters. Proud of you!

The forgetting to ask about parking part made me smile – not because it's funny, but because that's so exactly what happens when all your energy goes into just making the call. The important thing is you did it. The parking info can come later.

yeah exactly. my brain was so focused on not hanging up that everything else just disappeared.

A dentist appointment phone call might sound small to some people but we all know it's not. You did something your anxiety told you that you couldn't do, and that matters so much. Celebrate this one!

Can I add this to the wins board? We should keep a running thread of phone call victories!

sure. if it helps someone else try it that'd be cool.

I've been doing the same thing – avoiding calls and just texting instead. You've inspired me to try calling the optician this week. If you can do the dentist, I can do the optician.

Let us know how it goes! We're all cheering for you.

you've got this. the first few seconds are the worst then it gets easier.
